Finally

The day we have been waiting for is FINALLY here. Moving day!
Professional movers will be here to help us move our furniture tomorrow.
Then on Friday some of our friends from church will help us move the rest of our things. (ie - boxes)
(We are so blessed to have their help!)

For my bloggy friends who check in with me from time to time~
I will be off-line for a few weeks. Since the home we are moving into is new, we have to have internet service installed...which could take a few days.
Plus Ainsley's Ma and Pa will be with us for 5 days to help make our house a home.
(We are excited to spend time with them.)

My profile...

...has been modified!

It now reads that my location is "Fayette County, TN". (not Memphis)

We closed on our house today and are SO excited about our move...which will happen next Thursday.

We are so blessed!

For Father's Day

Here is the gift Ainsley will be giving her Daddy for Father's Day.
(a framed collection of photos of the two of them from the past year)
I had so much fun helping her make this.
(She picked out the paper and photos ~ cropped the photos ~ drew the picture of her and Daddy ~ and wrote "I love u".)
Didn't she do a great job?!

Baby in your eye

On Sunday, we will be having lunch with one of my good friends from college. Her name is Leigh and her husband and two daughters will be stopping through Memphis on their way to visit her parents. I haven't seen Leigh in 10 years so I am very excited to spend time with her and meet her daughters.

I was telling Ainsley about our Sunday plans. She wanted to know who Leigh was. I explained to her that Leigh is a friend I went to school with and she was also in Daddy and I's wedding.

Ainsley asked, "Mommy? Was I at your wedding?"
When I told her "no"...that Daddy and I were married before she was born...she replied...

"Oh! That must have been when I was a baby in your eye."

The symbol of our country

The American Flag
by Chelsea Racovites

You are the symbol of our country,
Who shines oh so bright,
Who carried the soldiers to win the fight,

Your warmth and independence keeps our spirits up,
When you fly through the air oh so happily,
We pledge to you with loyalty and trust,

As we are one nation who stands tall,
With liberty and justice for all.

Cutest tote

Look at the cutest tote that Christy (at BonBon Boutique) sent me.
**********
Thank you so much, Christy! The girl on the tote reminds me of Ainsley...brown hair and a huge smile on her face.

Please pray for Ethan!

The following is an update from Ben Powell - Ethan's father:

"June 1 - Day 112 - 6th update/ 7:21 [Ben] This is an update that I hoped never to write. We are finally at what the doctors consider the last attempt at chemotherapy. If we agree to follow through with chemotherapy, there is a high risk of kidney, liver, and spleen damage. We are at a point of discussing 'quality of life'. So... looking at it medically, Ethan will undergo a spinal tap and bone marrow asperate two weeks from today. If the numbers are not down, then we will most likely be sent back to the Target House where we will 'wait out Ethan's days' and receive care that will help Ethan 'die peacefully'. I AM NOT THINKING IN TERMS OF IF ETHAN SURVIVES. I AM THINKING IN TERMS OF WHEN HE SURVIVES. HE'S MY BABY... AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY PRAYER WORKS!!!

I BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT GOD IS CALLING US TO BELIEVE! I AM PLEADING WITH YOU TO PUMP PEOPLE UP AND RALLY THE PRAYER WARRIORS.

BE PART OF A MIRACLE. PRAYER WORKS! PRAYER WORKS! PRAYER WORKS! I am as convinced today as I was day one. Go back and read day one, it hasn't been edited. If you read the updates you know how pathetic my grammar has been. Look at how clearly I was able to express my thoughts moments after getting the most devastating news of my life. I BELIEVE GOD WAS WITH ME THEN AND HE IS STILL NOW. And at that point in time Ethan wasn't expected to survive even in the short term. I had no way of knowing the outcome, and I believed then. YOU BELIEVED THEN. Why should we stop now? I HAVE NOT! I WILL NOT! God is referred to as 'I AM' HE isn't 'I AM NOT'. I am asking you to call on the one that has the power to say... 'YES... I AM HERE!!!'

PRAYER UNDENIABLY WORKS!!! I am asking you to believe it with me! PRAYER WORKS!!!"
